Man claims he was struck by forklift carrying ice

Claiming he was struck by a forklift carrying ice, Kenneth Ned has filed suit against his employer, JBS Packing Co.

The suit was filed Oct. 27 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the petition, on June 4 Ned was going about his duties for JBS Packing when a co-worker struck him with a forklift carrying ice, injuring him.

In his suit, Ned alleges JBS Packing negligently failed to provide him with a safe workplace and supervise its employees.

Ned is suing for past and future mental anguish, pain, medical expenses and lost wages.

Houston attorney Adam Rosenfeld of Schechter, McElwee, Shaffer & Harris is representing him.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, has been assigned to the case.
