Cowboy Honda, Beaumont
Shortly after picking up her serviced motorcycle, Thu "Tweety" Trung claims the bike began to burn her leg, forcing her to lose control and wreck on the side of the road.
Trung filed suit against Cowboy Honda Red Riders, the company who serviced the bike, on Aug. 17 in Jefferson County District Court, alleging it failed to properly repair her motorcycle.
According to the lawsuit, on June 12, 2010, Trung picked up her bike from Cowboy Honda and began to ride home.
While traveling on Highway 69 near the Dowlen Road exit, Trung's motorcycle began to severely burn her leg, causing her to lose control and wreck.
In her suit, she accuses the defendant of negligently failing to properly repair the bike and secure its cover.
The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Trenton Bond, attorney for the Beaumont law firm Portner Bond, represents her.
Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, has been assigned to the case.
