Injunction filed against Gulf Coast Machine after man electrocuted

An application for injunctive relief has been filed against Gulf Coast Machine & Supply following a worker's electrocution.

Representing the estate of Robert Whittaker Jr., Robert and Jacquelyn Whittaker filed the application on May 18 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the petition, on or about May 16 Whittaker was working at Gulf Coast's Beaumont facility when he was killed by an electric shock.

The plaintiffs are seeking an injunction to prevent any tampering to the premises where the incident occurred.

If any evidence is destroyed, the plaintiffs will be irreparably harmed, the petition states.

The plaintiffs are represented by E. Hart Green of Weller, Green, Toups and Terrell in Beaumont.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
