A Sabine County resident is suing after falling and sustaining injuries.

Cynthia Murray filed a lawsuit Jan. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Lufkin Division, against Chick-Fil-A Inc., citing premise liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, on May 9, 2012, the plaintiff sustained injuries when she slipped and fell on a liquid substance while in the restroom at the defendant's restaurant in Nacogdoches County.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to maintain its premises, failed to warn, failed to clean its floors, failed to take action to protect patrons, created a known hazard, failed to remedy the hazard and failed to hire, manage, train and supervise competent employees.

Murray is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages.

She is being represented by Jason A. Itkin, Cory D. Itkin and Noah M. Wexler of Arnold & Itkin LLP of Houston.
