Jefferson County residents are suing after their vehicle was rear-ended on Eastex Freeway.
Nicolas Scott filed a lawsuit April 22 in the Jefferson County District Court against Carlos Ueiel Chavez-Coss, citing negligence.
The complaint states on Sept. 20, Scott was driving southbound in the 5000 block of Eastex Freeway when the defendant failed to slow with traffic and rear-ended Scott.
As a result of the defendant's negligence, the plaintiff sustained injuries, according to the complaint.
The plaintiff is seeking more than $200,000, but not more than $1 million in damages.
