Lender files foreclosure order against Beaumont property owners

A mortgage company has filed a foreclosure notice against the owners of property in Beaumont who allegedly defaulted on a home equity loan.

Nationstar Mortgage filed the application for an expedited foreclosure order against Jerry House and Angelia M. House on Aug. 22 in Jefferson County District Court.

Nationstar Mortgage alleges the Houses are more than 14 months behind in payments on a home equity loan. The lender says as of Aug. 5, the couple is required to pay $18,408 to cure the default. The total amount owed on the home equity line of credit is $125,649 according to the complaint.

Because the Houses allegedly defaulted on the loan, Nationstar Mortgage says it has the authority to seek foreclosure of the lien encumbering the property at 210 Roxton Lane, Beaumont.

The mortgage company seeks an expedited order under Rule 736 so that it may proceed with foreclosure on the property.

Attorneys Cole D. Patton, William R. Attmore and Anthony Waddell of McCarthy Holthus & Ackerman in Plano represent Nationstar Mortgage.
