Bank wants boat, other items

Bank

A bank is filing for the seizure of the boat, motor and trailer of a Jefferson County man due to an alleged defaulted retail installment contract.

Regions Bank filed a petition Oct. 14 in Jefferson County District Court against William J. Allen.

According to the complaint, Allen defaulted on a retail installment contract and security agreement executed in Beaumont and secured by an agreement granting the plaintiff a security interest in a 2004 Triton TR196DC boat, a 2004 Yamaha motor and a 2004 Marine Mast trailer. The complaint states the payoff balance as of Sept. 22 was more than $12,000, obligating the defendant to turn over the collateral but he has refused to do so.

Regions Bank seeks an order of specific performance directing the sheriff to seize the collateral and deliver it to the plaintiff, in addition to attorney fees and costs of court. It is represented by attorney Shawn K. Brady of Brady Law Firm in Frisco.
