L’Auberge Casino dismissed from suit alleging woman injured while sitting on broken chair

A well-known Louisiana casino was recently dismissed from a personal injury suit brought by a Southeast Texas resident.

Anissa Randle filed a lawsuit April 21 in the Jefferson County District Court against Pinnacle Entertainment, doing business as L’Auberge Casino Hotel, citing premises liability and negligence.

Less than a year later, an agreed order of dismissal was entered in the case on Feb. 5, court records show.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court, ordered that Pinnacle Entertainment be dismissed with prejudice.

In her suit, Randle alleged the she was at L’Auberge Casino in Baton Rouge, La., when she sustained injuries after sitting on a broken chair. She contended she sustained the injuries because the defendant was negligent.

Randle was seeking an undisclosed amount in damages.

She is represented in the case by Brett S. Thomas of Roebuck, Thomas, Roebuck & Adams PLLC in Beaumont.
