Restaurant worker files sexual harassment suit

59diner

A woman has sued her employer, alleging sex discrimination and harassment between 2011 and 2012.

Savanna Fazzolari filed a lawsuit Dec.22, 2014 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against SNA Town & Country Enterprises Inc. doing business as 59 Diner.

According to the complaint, Fazzolari worked at the 59 Diner on the Katy Freeway as an assistant manager, when president, owner and CEO Naveed Baig sexually harassed her beginning in November 2011 by asking her for a date and manipulating her into a meeting for the purported purpose of making advances toward her.

When the plaintiff rejected the manager’s advances, her salary was cut, the suit states, and Baig continued to approach her with unwelcome offers and physical contact. When she again declined his attention, her salary was further reduced, according to the lawsuit.

She has suffered severe emotional distress and lost wages, the suit states.

Fazzolari seeks actual, compensatory and punitive damages, back pay, attorney fees, expenses, and costs. She is represented by attorneys Melissa Moore and Curt Hesse of Moore & Associates in Houston.
