Plaintiff says defendants' recklessness and carelessness caused him severe and permanent injury. He is suing for physical and emotional pain and suffering and loss of enjoyment of life.

Jefferie Cartwright was exiting L'auberge du Lac Casino in Lake Charles when she said wrinkled carpet outside the door caused her to fall. Plaintiff sustained skull, neck, back, knee, shoulder and eye injuries. She alleges the casino is negligent for failing to assure that the carpet was not wrinkled.

Bartholamew collided with a vehicle owned by Orange County Ambulance and driven by defendant Jeremy Tidwell. Plaintiff alleges negligence per se because of defendants' reckless driving, failure to sound horn and driving at excessive speed.
