This Just In: Recent civil suits filed in Orange County District Courts

  • Larry and Christine Ford vs. Howard "Buddy" Hamilton et al

    Not happy with the cracks running through their pool, an Orange County couple has filed suit against the makers and the sellers of their backyard swimming pool. Larry and Christine Ford filed suit against Howard "Buddy" Hamilton and his wife Stacy, along with San Juan Fiberglass pools.

    Hamilton Pools was allegedly selling San Juan Pools but the pools were not actually San Juan Pools, according to Oxford, and San Juan knew what their agent was doing but failed to stop him.

  • Tina Smith Provost vs. JT Wein, Inc.

    Tina Smith Provost has filed suit against JT Wein, Inc. and one of its truck drivers, claiming Raul B. Flores negligently caused an automobile collision by failing to control his rate of speed.

    Provost, who says she injured her neck and back in the incident, is suing for past and future medical expenses, pain and mental anguish.

  • Anthony Whitehurst vs. Trinity Industries, Inc.

    A contracted employee was sandblasting railway equipment in Vidor when his hose somehow became tangled up in an auger, which first pulled him up against the wall of a railcar and then underneath it, severely injuring him. Anthony Whitehurst, a Frost Enterprises employee, filed suit against Trinity Industries and its subsidiary Trinity Railcar Repair, claiming the company failed to warn him not to go near an operational auger.

    He is suing for past and future medical expenses, pain, lost wages, disfigurement and mental anguish.
