A total of 12 hurricane-related suits were filed against insurance companies during the week of March 9-13, 2009.
The following suits were filed relating to Hurricane Rita, Sept. 24, 2005:
Rahim Jabbar of 2550 Pennsylvania St. in Beaumont alleges Standard Guaranty Insurance Company denied his claim for roof, water, wind and structural damages after Hurricane Rita struck on Sept. 24, 2005. Carlton Johnson Sr. and Gloria L. Johnson of 3695 Ironton St. in Beaumont allege Delta Lloyds Insurance Company of Houston denied their claims for roof, water, foundation and wind damages after Hurricane Rita struck on Sept. 24, 2005. They say Delta denied their claim after it assigned Southern Adjusters and adjuster Robert Eric Morton to investigate. The Johnsons are represented by Michael R. Ramsey and Gregory F.
