A total of 13 suits were filed regarding hurricane claims against insurance companies in Jefferson County District Court during the week of March 16-March 20, 2009.

The following suits were filed regarding Hurricane Ike:

  • Cassie Cole of 1140 Madison St. in Beaumont alleges Capitol County Mutual Fire Insurance Company denied her claim for damages to her home after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13.
