Car rental agency sues to recover payments

A popular car rental agency claims an Orange company has failed to completely pay for vehicles it borrowed.

Enterprise Leasing Co. of Houston filed a lawsuit Sept. 28 in Jefferson County District Court against Quality Contract Services.

Enterprise claims that between May 2008 and July 2008, it entered into several contracts with Quality Contract Services to rent out vehicles.

However, Quality Contract Services has refused to pay the full amount due for the car rentals, according to the complaint.

"Defendant has failed to pay the sums due and owing under the contract, breaching the contract, and by such breach, damaging Enterprise in the amount of $19,622.62," the suit states.

In addition to the money it says it is due, Enterprise is seeking pre- and post-judgment interest, attorneys' fees, costs and other relief to which it may be entitled.

Raymond L. Gregory II of Eggleston and Briscoe in Houston will be representing it.

The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court.
Jefferson County District Court case number: A185-006.
