An Orange County man has filed suit against the driver who he says disregarded a stop sign and struck him.
Nicholas Crosson claims he was driving a 2001 Lincoln Town Car on July 8 when defendant Joshua Barnes, who was driving a 1992 Mazda MX-3, disregarded a stop sign and struck Crosson's vehicle on the side.
Because of the collision, Crosson incurred medical costs; lost wages and his earning capacity; and experienced mental anguish, physical pain, suffering and physical impairment, according to the complaint filed March 29 in Jefferson County District Court.
Barnes negligently failed to properly apply his brakes, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to apply his brakes to avoid a collision, failed to keep proper control of his vehicle, failed to yield the right-of-way, failed to regard a stop sign and drove inattentively.
Crosson is seeking actual damages, plus costs, pre- and post-judgment interest at the maximum rate allowed by law and other relief to which he may be entitled.
