Man sues company, employee for auto wreck

Beaumont resident Jay Howell is suing Benjamin Bryant Jr. and his employer, Super Service, for allegedly causing an auto collision two years ago.

The suit was filed May 3 in Orange County District Court.

According to the suit, on May 13, 2008, Howell was traveling on Interstate 10 in Orange County and had slowed for a stalled vehicle when Bryant, while in the employment of Super Service, allegedly failed to "control his speed and slammed into plaintiff's vehicle."

The suit accuses Bryant of failing to keep a proper lookout and Super Service of negligently failing to properly train him.

Howell is suing for past and future mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages, plus all court costs.

The plaintiff is represented by attorney Jonathan Juhan.
