On behalf of himself and his minor son, Jonathan Hickey has filed suit against Leon Shaunesey Sr. for allegedly causing an automobile collision.
The suit was filed May 14 in Orange County District Court and also names Pamela Thompson as a defendant.According to the complaint, Thompson owned the vehicle Shaunesey was driving.
Court papers show that on July 28, 2009, Hickey's son was "occupying a vehicle when it was struck by a vehicle owned by Thompson and driven by Shaunesey."
The suit does not say how or where the incident occurred.
Hickey and his son are suing for past and future mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages, plus all court costs.
The plaintiffs are represented by attorney Christopher Smith of the Bush Lewis law firm.
The case has been assigned to Judge Dennis Powell, 163rd Judicial District.
