Companies in dispute over account

After racking up more than $12,000 on an account, a Harris County business has failed to pay its debt, according to a recently filed complaint.

Tri-Con filed a lawsuit June 3 in Jefferson County District Court against EBM Fuels and Lubricants.

Tri-Con claims EBM opened an account and owes $12,100.15. Although Tri-Con has demanded EBM reimburse it, the company has refused to do so, according to the complaint.

Tri-Con alleges breach of contract against EBM.

In addition to the money it says EBM owes it, Tri-Con seeks pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees, costs and other relief the court deems just.

John S. Morgan of Harris, Duesler and Hatfield in Beaumont will be representing it.

The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court.

Jefferson County District Court case number: A187-009.
