Automobile collision subject of lawsuit

Danny Oliver is suing Glen Oliver for allegedly causing an automobile collision last December.

The suit was filed Dec. 8 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the petition, on Dec. 15, 2009, Glen Oliver "negligently and carelessly" collided his vehicle into Danny Oliver's vehicle.

The suit fails to state where or how the collision occurred, or if the two Olivers are related.

The suit accuses Glen Oliver of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout, control his speed and apply his brakes in a timely manner.

Danny Oliver is suing for his alleged past and future mental anguish, impairment, lost wages and medical expenses.

He is represented by Orange attorney Sandee Hart.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
