Nguyen Nguyen of Beaumont is suing Codi Drewett for allegedly running a red light and striking his vehicle.
The suit was filed Dec. 21 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the petition, on Jan. 4, 2009, Nguyen was traveling on the Eastex Freeway and proceeding through a green light when Drewett ran her red light and slammed into his vehicle.
In his suit, Nguyen accuses Drewett of negligently failing to control her vehicle, keep a proper lookout and adhere to traffic signals.
Nguyen is suing for his alleged past and future mental anguish, lost wages, impairment, medical expenses and pain.
The plaintiff is represented by Beaumont attorney Jonathan Juhan.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
