Latest Hurricane Ike-related insurance suits filed in Jefferson County

A total of three new lawsuits were filed in Jefferson County District Court against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims, Feb. 7-11.

The following complaints were filed:

  • Jesus and Mireya Ceja of 2410 Imhoff Ave. in Port Arthur allege Fire Insurance Exchange denied their claim for foundation, structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Cejas will be represented by J. Steve Mostyn of The Mostyn Law Firm in Houston. Jefferson County District Court case number: E189-341.

  • Ogden and Lillie Collins of 1660 W. Highland Drive in Beaumont allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for contents, foundation, roof, structural, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Collins will be represented by Michael R. Ramsey of The Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: D189-326.

  • Kenneth and Jennifer D. Parker of Port Neches allege Beacon Lloyd's Insurance Company and Republic Lloyd's refused to fully compensate their claim for damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Parkers will be represented by Mitchell A. Toups of Weller, Green, Toups and Terrell in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: D189-325.
