Beaumont resident Louis Davis has filed suit against Jay Brickly, alleging the man rear-ended his vehicle last January.
The suit was filed May 16 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 16, 2010, Davis was traveling east on Washington Boulevard when Brickly, who was allegedly traveling too close behind him, rear-ended Davis' vehicle.
In his suit, Davis accuses Brickly of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout and apply his brakes in a timely manner.
The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
