UPR sued for worker's injury

Harlan King, a Union Pacific Railroad employee, has filed suit against his employer for an injury he received last March.

King filed the suit May 16 in Jefferson County District Court.

Court records show that King was injured on March 17, 2010, while performing railroad work.

The suit does not state how or where the injury occurred.

King does allege, however, that the trauma is cumulative and the result of his employment.

The suit accuses UPR of negligently failing to provide a safe work place and failing to provide King with the proper equipment.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Friendswood attorney Arthur Sadin represents the plaintiff.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.
