Two years ago, Zachary Hardy allegedly ran a stop sign and struck a vehicle being driven by Pamela Thomas.

On May 26 Thomas filed suit against Hardy in Jefferson County District Court, alleging he negligently caused the collision. Monte Hardy, who owned the vehicle in question, was also named as a defendant.

According to the lawsuit, on June 7, 2009, Thomas was proceeding through the intersection at Delaware and Tara in Beaumont when Zachary Hardy "failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and slammed into plaintiff."

The suit accuses Zachary Hardy of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout and obey traffic laws.

The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Jonathan Juhan represents her.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
