Passenger sues following vehicle crash

Orange resident Jamie Goodspeed has filed suit against Port Neches local Kayli Moore for allegedly striking a vehicle she was a passenger in.

The suit was filed May 31 in Jefferson County District Court.

Court records show that on Sept. 13 Goodspeed was a passenger in a vehicle when Moore allegedly caused a motor vehicle collision.

The suit does not state where or how the incident occurred.

Goodspeed accuses Moore of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout, apply her brakes in a timely manner and control her rate of speed.

The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Attorney Adam Terrell of the Beaumont law firm Weller, Green, Toups & Terrell represents the plaintiff.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.
