A company that applies coating surfaces to floors has been sued by a man who slipped and fell on a floor it treated.
Kevin Edds filed suit against Archway Industrial Coatings on June 15 in Jefferson County District Court.
Court records show that on Oct. 1, 2009, Edds, a Ryder employee, was performing work on the floor of a Ryder shop that had just been treated by Archway when he slipped and fell, causing him "catastrophic injuries."
The suit alleges Archway should have warned Edds of the danger.
The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Beaumont attorney Jonathan Juhan represents him.
Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
