A total of two new lawsuits against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims have been filed in Jefferson County District Court, June 20-24, 2011.
The following complaints were filed:
Cedric and Lahoma Hall Johnson of 3720 Lynwood Drive in Beaumont allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied a portion of their claim for roof and water damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Johnsons will be represented by Carlos E. Solis and Paul A. Smith Jr. of Solis and Smith in San Antonio and by Danny R. Scott Jr. of Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: B190-362.
Joseph Threats Jr. and Debra Threats of 3301 Royal Court in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied a portion of their claim for roof and water damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.
