Private nurse sues client for falling on her

A private nurse hired to take care of a Beaumont man has filed suit against her client, alleging he negligently fell on her while she helped him out the car and into a wheel chair.

Andrea Berry filed suit against Paul Tinsley on July 19 in Jefferson County District Court.

Court records show that Tinsley hired Berry to provide nursing care. On March 26 she was helping him out his car and into a wheel when "Tinsley fell, injuring Berry."

In her suit, Berry alleges the incident occurred because Tinsley negligently failed to provide her with the proper equipment.

She also blames him for failing to provide a safe workplace.

The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Houston attorney Harry Arthur represents her.

Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
