An Illinois clean-up corporation, alleges the owners of a Nederland home refuse to pay it more than $30,000 for work it performed following a man's death.
Aftermath Inc. filed a lawsuit July 28 in Jefferson County District Court against the estate of Kenneth J. Fletcher and Bobby Fletcher. According to its website, Aftermath Inc. specializes in crime scene and trauma clean up.
In its complaint, Aftermath alleges it was contacted following Kenneth J. Fletcher's death to clean the home at 1415 18th St. in Nederland where he died at some point prior to March 28, 2010.
"The circumstances of his death resulted in a biohazardous situation in the Residence requiring Plaintiff's specialized services," the suit states.
On March 28, Aftermath and Bobby Fletcher entered into an agreement in which Bobby Fletcher agreed to pay the company to clean the home, the complaint says.
Following the three days of cleaning, Aftermath claims it billed Bobby Fletcher $33,722.31. However, it still has not received any payment for its services, according to the complaint.
Aftermath alleges breach of contract against the defendants.
In addition to the money it says Bobby Fletcher owes it, Aftermath seeks pre-judgment interest at the highest rate, attorneys' fees, post-judgment interest, an order that that the Nederland house be sold and proceeds applied to the money due to Aftermath and other relief the court deems just.

Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
