Union Pacific Railroad employee Charles Moore is suing his employer for an injury he received while on the job.

The suit was filed Aug. 19 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Feb. 8 Moore was injured when he attempted to line a switch on rail running through Beaumont.

The suit does not state how or where Moore was injured.

The suit only alleges UPR was negligent for not keeping the switch in working order.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Houston attorney Steve Young of Tavormina & Young represents him.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
