Union Pacific worker sues over occupational injuries

Beaumont resident Walter Williams III is suing his employer, Union Pacific Railroad Co., claiming occupational injuries.

The suit was filed Oct. 25 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, Williams experienced cumulative trauma throughout his career with UP.

The suit does not describe Williams' alleged injuries, nor does the suit say how UP negligently caused them.

The plaintiff is suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs, according to the suit.

Houston attorneys Steve Young and John Tavormina represent him.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
