Traffic light collision results in suit

Area resident Beth Boren is suing Justin Kelley, an Orange resident, and Chris Dalley, who resides in Houston, for causing an automobile collision.

The suit was filed Nov. 3 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on June 24, 2010, Boren was traveling on the U.S. 69 service road in Port Arthur when Kelley, driving a vehicle owned by Dalley, proceeded through the traffic light at FM 365 and slammed into plaintiff.

The suit faults Kelly with negligently failing to keep a proper lookout and failing to obey traffic laws.

The suit also faults Dalley with negligent entrustment.

The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Jonathan Juhan represents her.
