Port Arthur resident James Smith is suing Groves local Valli Miller for rear-ending his vehicle.
The suit was filed Nov. 10 in Jefferson County District Court.
Court records show that on Oct. 11 Smith was driving an Ford F-250 truck on Gulfway in Port Arthur and had slowed down to turn onto Waco Avenue when Miller, who was driving 1 2008 Dodge Charger, rear-ended him.
The suit alleges Miller negligently failed to control her rate of speed and keep a proper lookout.
The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Port Arthur attorney Langstan Adams represents him.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
