A total of five new lawsuits against insurance companies over hurricane damage claims have been filed in Jefferson County District Court, Nov. 28-Dec. 2, 2011.

The following complaints were filed:

  • Rafael and Teresa Ceja of 610 Trinity Ave. in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for roof and water damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Cejas will be represented by Carlos E. Solis and Paul A. Smith Jr. of Solis and Smith in San Antonio. Jefferson County District Court case number: A191-421.

  • Cornelius Collins Jr. as executor of the estate of Cornelius Collins Sr. of 2233 10th St. in Port Arthur alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied his claim for structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to his property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Collins will be represented by Michael R. Ramsey of The Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: D191-414.

  • Greg Corkran of 2804 Ave. M in Nederland alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied his claim for roof, structure, water and wind damages caused to his property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Corkran will be represented by Michael R. Ramsey of The Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: E191-412.

  • Kenneth and Ronolfa Muller of 3618 Roanoke in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for roof and water damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Mullers will be represented by Carlos E. Solis and Paul A. Smith Jr. of Solis and Smith in San Antonio. Jefferson County District Court case number: B191-419.

  • Manuel Rodriguez of 1330 Wayside Drive in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied his claim for damages caused to his property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Rodriguez will be represented by Clint Brasher and Joe Muckleroy of Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: E191-409.
