A lawsuit has been filed against Schwan's Home Services for an employee's automobile collision.

Individually and on behalf of two minors, Matthew Vogel filed suit against Schwan's and Martin Mendiola on Jan. 3 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Oct. 5 the plaintiffs were injured when Mendiola, who was in the course and scope of his employment with Schwan's, caused a motor vehicle collision.

The suit does not state where or how the incident occurred, nor does the suit list a specific act of negligence against the defendants.

The plaintiffs are suing for their past and future medical expenses and mental anguish.

Beaumont attorney Collin Cobb of Chambers, Templeton & Brinkley represents them.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.

Case No. A191-608
