While attending a Mardi Gras festival in Port Arthur, Landen Alpough, a minor, was injured on a carnival ride.

As next of friend, Kristen Charlot filed suit on his behalf against Reed Exposition Midway on Jan. 3 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on March 6 Alpough sustained injuries while a passenger on a carnival ride.

However, the suit does not state how the injuries occurred.

The petition states that the parties have reached a tentative settlement, subject to court approval.

The plaintiffs are represented by Lance P. Bradley of McPherson, Hughes, Bradley, Wimberley, Steele and Chatelain in Port Arthur.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.
