Suit filed over rear-end collision

Two Beaumont residents are in litigation over a two-year old automobile collision.

Loic Trutaud filed suit against Jade Paredez on Jan. 6 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Feb. 19, 2010, Trutaud was traveling on SH 124 and had slowed to turn left onto Smith Road when Paredez rear-ended him.

In his suit, Trutaud claims Paredez negligently failed to control her speed, apply her brakes in a timely manner and keep a proper lookout.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Jonathan Juhan represents him.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
