Beaumont resident Michael Wolf has filed suit against Academy Sports & Outdoors for injuries he received at one of the retailer's stores.

The suit was filed Jan. 13 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Sept. 1, 2010, Wolf was injured as a result of a dangerous condition at Academy's premises.

However, the suit fails to state how Wolf was injured.

The suit also fails to list a specific act of negligence committed by Academy in causing the alleged injury.

Nonetheless, Wolf maintains is his suit that Academy acted with malice, entitling him to exemplary damages.

Beaumont attorney Brian Sutton of Sutton & Jacobs represents him.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.

Case No. E191-657
