SHERMAN - Claiming she was fired for reporting patient abuse, Andrea S. Lowrey filed a lawsuit against Nueterra Healthcare Management.

The suit was originally filed on Nov. 7, 2011 in Dallas County District Court. The defendant removed the case to the federal court in Dallas on Dec. 9 and the case was transferred to federal court in Sherman on Jan. 17.

The plaintiff is asking the court for an award of damages for lost wages and benefits, mental anguish, exemplary damages, attorney's fees and court costs.

Lowrey is represented by John E. Wall Jr. of the Law Offices of John E. Wall, Jr. in Dallas.

U.S. District Judge Richard A. Schell is assigned to the case.
