Petition seeks to investigate slip on wet paint at Kohl's

A year and a half ago, Felisha Davis claims she slipped on some wet paint at Kohl's Department Store and broke her arm.

Seeking to discover evidence, Davis filed a petition to perpetuate testimony on Feb. 9 in Jefferson County District Court.

The petition claims that on July 13, 2010, Davis was injured at Khol's No. 200 when she slipped and fell on what is believed to be wet paint, which resulted in a broken arm.

Davis seeks to recover from Khol's all photographs of the premises and reports and records related to the incident.

The information requested is necessary in order to investigate the existence of third-party causes of action, the petition states.

Davis is represented by attorney John Werner of the Beaumont law firm Reaud, Morgan & Quinn.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
