Woman rear-ended while turning into Dollar General, suit alleges

While attempting to turn into a Dollar General, Kelli Williams was allegedly rear-ended by Christie Hirasaki, a recent lawsuit alleges.

The suit was filed March 7 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Dec. 21 Williams was traveling on Highway 105, attempting to make a right turn into a Dollar General Store when Hirasaki allegedly negligently failed to control her speed and rear-ended her, causing Williams' vehicle to flip onto the driver's side.

The suit further accuses Hirasaki of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout, timely apply her brakes and yield the right of way.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Clay Dugas represents her.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.

Case No. E192-137
