North Dakota man sued after collision on Loop 281 in Longview

MARSHALL - A North Dakota man is being sued after he allegedly caused a collision by trying to cross lanes of traffic while going the wrong way.

Sherri Little filed suit against James Allen Goetz on April 4 in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas.

The crash occurred on June 28, 2010, as Little was traveling eastbound on W. Loop 281 in Longview. Defendant Goetz was traveling north and attempted to cross the eastbound lanes of traffic. Goetz collided with Little as he attempted to cross the lanes.

The defendant is accused of negligence, specifically for going the wrong way on the Loop.

The plaintiff is asking for more than $75,000 in damages for physical pain, mental anguish, medical expenses, interest, and court costs.

Little is represented by Longview attorney G.R. Randy Akin. A jury trial is requested.

U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap is assigned to the case.
