LVNV Funding sues over delinquent credit card account

LVNV Funding has filed suit against Beaumont local James Bienvenu, alleging he owes more than $13,000 in credit card debt.

The complaint filed March 21 in Jefferson County District Court

LVNV Funding sent Bienvenu a letter demanding repayment, but he has refused to do so, the suit states.

Citibank alleges breach of contract against Purdy.

As of March 7, 2012, the unpaid balance is $9,106.96, plus $4,725.64 in accrued interest.

In addition to the money it says it is owed, the lender is seeking attorney's fees, costs, post-judgment interest at the maximum rate allowed by law and other relief the court deems just.

Michael J. Scott, Teri Stewart Mace, Judith Morgan, T.L. Elder and Jessica Eckstein of Michael J. Scott in Carrollton will be representing it.

Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, is assigned to the case.
