RV park worker sues employer for overtime wages
An employee of a recreational vehicle park has filed a lawsuit against her employer that claims she was not paid for the hours she worked in excess of 40 per work week.
Terri Sandles filed suit against John O. Wright on June 22 in the Eastern District of Texas, Beaumont Division.
Sandles has worked for the defendant since January as an RV park host. She states that she worked in excess of 40 hours, but was not paid one and one-half times her regular rate of pay for each overtime hour worked.
The defendant is accused of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The plaintiff is seeking an award of damages for minimum wage and overtime compensation, liquidated damages, court costs, attorney's fees, and interest.
Sandles is represented by Charles L. Scalise of Ross Law P.C. in Austin.
A jury trial is requested.
