Wal-Mart sued after customer slips in French fries

MARSHALL - A Greg County woman has filed a lawsuit against Wal-Mart claiming she slipped and fell due to French fries left on the floor.

Kathryn Booth filed suit against Wal-Mart Stores Texas on July 16 in the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division.

The incident occurred on Nov. 23, 2011, while Booth was a guest at Wal-Mart in Longview. Booth states she fell due to French fries left on the floor.

The defendant is accused of allowing a condition on the premises that posed an unreasonable risk of harm, of failing to warn, inspect or cure the condition caused by the French fries on the floor.

The plaintiff is seeking damages for physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment, medical expenses, exemplary damages,
