MARSHALL - Following a rear-end motor vehicle accident in Longview, Christopher Harding filed a lawsuit against the driver’s employer, Xerox Corp., on Aug. 20 in the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division.

The crash occurred on April 19 as Harding was traveling south on N. Eastman Road in Longview when he was rear-ended by a Xerox driver.

The defendant is accused of negligence for failing to exercise ordinary care, failing to control his speed, failing to keep a proper look-out, failing to properly apply his brakes, failing to take proper evasive action in order to avoid a collision, failing to maintain an assured clear distance and for violating laws and ordinances.

The plaintiff is seeking more than $100,000 in damages for physical pain, mental anguish, medical expenses, lost wage earning capacity, physical impairment and disfigurement, interest and court costs.

Harding is represented by Longview attorney G. R. Randy Akin.

A jury trial is requested.

U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap is assigned to the case.
