A motorcycle driver claims he sustained various injuries after a driver failed to yield the right-of-way and struck his vehicle.
Alexander Bravo filed a lawsuit Aug. 23 in Jefferson County District Court against Shirley Spear.
In his complaint, Bravo alleges he drove his 2005 black Yamaha motorcycle when Spear, who drove a 1995 gold Lexus, failed to yield the right-of-way at an intersection and struck Bravo on Aug. 1.
Because of the collision, Bravo experienced physical pain, suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment and disfigurement and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint.
Bravo blames spear for causing the collision, saying she negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to maintain control of her vehicle, drove too fast, failed to apply her brakes, failed to exercise ordinary care and failed to turn to avoid a collision, among other negligent acts.
In his complaint, Bravo seeks an unspecified judgment, plus pre- and post-judgment interest at the legal rate, costs, attorney’s fees and other relief the court deems just.
