A Jefferson County company has filed suit against the business that it claims refused to return feed stock supplied to it.
Hydrocarbon Technologies, which sells feed stocks, alleges it entered into an agreement with defendants Precision Chemical Processing and Dome Hydrocarbons in which it promised to supply feed stock to the defendants so that they could process it and enhance its marketability.
In exchange, Hydrocarbon paid the defendants $95,000 in credit funds, according to the complaint filed Oct. 9 in Jefferson County District Court.
Relying on the defendants’ ability to process the materials, Hydrocarbon supplied them with $25,000 worth of the feed stock, the suit states.
However, the defendants have refused to do the work as promised, the complaint says. Hydrocarbon claims the defendants have also failed to return the $95,000 or the feedstock.
In its complaint, Hydrocarbon alleges detrimental reliance, breach of contract, negligent misrepresentation and fraud against the defendants.
It is seeking actual and exemplary damages, plus pre- and post-judgment interest at the highest rates allowed by law, attorney’s fees, costs and other relief the court deems just.
