Man claims woman attempting to steal vehicle

Ford f150 e1352169491531

Accusing a woman of trying to steal his truck, a man is asking the court to issue a temporary restraining order that would prevent the woman from selling the vehicle.

Juan Aldaba filed a lawsuit Oct 30 in Jefferson County District Court against Martha Lopez.

In his complaint, Aldaba alleges he lent his 2006 Ford F150 to Lopez.

However, Lopez has recently forged documents in an attempt to convert the title to her name, according to the complaint. She next intends to sell the vehicle, the suit states.

“Unless Martha Lopez, defendant herein, is immediately enjoined and restrained, defendant will sell or otherwise further diminish the value of plaintiff’s vehicle,” the complaint says.

In addition to a temporary restraining order preventing Lopez from selling the vehicle, Aldaba seeks an order that Aldaba is the rightful owner of the Ford and other relief the court deems just.

Jeffrey T. Roebuck of Roebuck, Thomas, Roebuck and Adams in Beaumont will be representing him.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.

Case No. A193-501
