A company has filed suit against the Dallas business that it claims failed to pay it nearly $80,000 for services it performed.
A&L Industrial Services claims it worked as a subcontractor for defendant Bechtel Corp.
A&L performed construction work on the Motiva Crude expansion project in Port Arthur from March through August, according to the complaint filed Dec. 7 in Jefferson County District Court.
Although it has done everything asked of it, A&L has not received payment for its services, the suit states.
“Defendant has failed and refused to pay Plaintiff for the goods furnished and services rendered and is justly indebted to plaintiff in the amount of $79,897.23,” the complaint says.
In addition to the money it says it is owed, A&L is seeking pre- and post-judgement interest at the highest legal rate, plus $26,632.40 in attorney’s fees and costs of court.

The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court.
